May 12, 2009- The Hollywood Reporter states that Sienna Miller is in talks to join the project. Could she be Lucetta?

May 11, 2009- From The National Ledger:

With a May 18 start date looming on the Robert DeNiro-Edward Norton "Stone," they're just wrapping up casting of minor roles in the movie, based on a play by Angus MacLachlan ("Junebug"), in which DeNiro plays a parole officer who develops a friendship with a teaching assistant. One juicy part is that of Lucetta, a thirtyish preschool teacher described as "sexy, fun, promiscuous, naīve yet unpredictable." She sleeps with DeNiro's character trying to get her husband out of jail.

May 6, 2009- Both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter announce the project and provide more info. Both classify the film as an "indie psychological thriller". From the Prod Weekly desciption, it sounded to me like it could have been a Hallmark Hall of Fame TV movie. The Hollywood Reporter gives the following summary: "The story centers on the complicated relationship between a corrections officer (De Niro) and a convicted arsonist (Norton)." Variety's description includes an important detail: "Story centers on correctional officer (De Niro) who is seduced by the wife of a convicted arsonist (Edward Norton) up for parole."

Apr 24, 2009- Production Weekly first reports project. "De Niro will play a parole officer who develops a friendship with a teaching assistant".
