Robin Williams Jokes About New Movie
Source of pics: HBO Comedy's Aspen Explosion Associated Press, March 2, 2002ASPEN, Colo. - Robin Williams can't wait to see how the French will judge his new R-rated comedy, Death to Smoochy, given the dustup over a French judge at the Olympics. Williams told an audience at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival on Friday he hoped the film would be shown at the Cannes Film Festival. Then he took a dig at the French judge who allegedly first claimed and then denied she was pressured to vote for Russian figure skaters. "I just want to see the French judge give us some points," Williams said. "Make your deal, beforehand, you cretin! You can smoke your Galois (cigarettes) and your dead animal around your collar!" "Death to Smoochy," scheduled for release March 29, also stars Ed Norton and Danny DeVito, who directed. It was screened Friday at the comedy festival.
