Baltimore's own costume-gal-to-the-stars is off to Gay Paree - by way of London. Catherine Incaprera is wrapping up her work as costume supervisor of the Civil War prequel to Gettysburg, Gods and Generals, which is finishing its shoot in Maryland. Then she'll be checking out fall fashion shows in London and doing more research for her next project as assistant costume designer for the next Merchant/Ivory pic. Catherine says it's an as-yet-untitled "contemporary light comedy" starring Meryl Streep and Natalie Portman that begins filming mid-March in Paris.

Catherine's been a busy lady these days. She also did a turn assisting the costume designer of Red Dragon, the prequel of Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. The Red Dragon project took place at a Greenspring Valley home the week before Christmas.

"They shot a lot of POVs [points of view from the perspective] of the serial killer, who's played by Ralph Fiennes, stalking a victim family," Catherine explains. She says the Dragon folks are expected back in Maryland for another three weeks of shooting sometime in the next three months. So keep your eyes peeled for some of its stars, like Fiennes, Anthony Hopkins, Harvey Keitel, our own Edward Norton, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Emily Watson and Mary Louise Parker.

Meanwhile, Cath's hubby, Joe, has hunkered down in B-more for the next few months as he works as second assistant director on a new HBO series, The Wire, set to start shooting any day now.

"It's gonna be [quite] a long distance bill," comments Catherine, "but [the good news is] he can come visit. It's a dream come true."
